I was first elected to the old Cornwall County Council in 2005 and two years later to North Cornwall District Council. In June 2009 I was elected to represent the new St Issey & St Tudy Electoral Division on Cornwall Council, becoming Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group two years later.
I have two children, Bonnie and Evan, and live in St Breock, which is right in the centre of the St Issey & St Tudy Division. When not on Council business I can usually be found working at The Quarryman, just outside Wadebridge, where I have been the manager for the last eighteen years.
